For what it's worth...

Here's the finished inks for the previous post. Nothing special. Tried some things that didn't really work and I had a heavy hand where I shouldn't've in some spots. Oh well. Still have to do the other three panels yet and I've been dragging my heels on some freelance I've got to get done as well. Now I'm off to the beach to rescue our daughter from her grandparents, who are spoiling her rotten. (And making us look bad in the process. Not really, but it sounded good, didn't it?) Until next time.

Inking is the hardest thing I've ever attempted. I have nothing but respect for those who can pull it off, especially complicated textures like what you were after here. Nice job on the wood and the leaf (heh). My only recommendation would have been the use of a french curve on the fishbowl.

Yeah, freehanding the bowl wasn't the smarter of choices, but I don't know where the hell I left my french curves. I don't know if I've ever even used them...

i on the other hand, think you should go looser, you already got a beautifull technique... i like things freehand-style, but maybe it´s a matter of trying both.
great stuff.

Thanks for the kind words, Danielog. For some reason I loathe using a ruler, curve or what-have-you. (Must be a birth defect I guess.)

Excellent work yourself. You've got a great style going in your own right. Wow. Wish I could read your entries, but the art speaks loud enough. I am humbled.
